"BLUE ZONE"

Short-term parking "BLUE ZONE" was introduced on streets -squares public municipal property, with decision of the Sofia Municipal Council and by ordinance of the Mayor of Sofia, in accordance with powers and schemes granted to him by law, adopted by the Sofia Municipal Council.

Only vehicles with weight of up to 2.5 tons and vans or buses with maximum 12 passengers are allowed to park in the "Blue Zone".

On working days from 08.30 to 18.30 parking places in "Blue Zone" require a fee.

Parking in the "Blue Zone" is permitted within two hours and only on the designated areas. After the expiration of time the vehicle will be repatriated.

Mayor of Sofia has the right to close temporarily or permanently, partial or complete sections of the "Blue Zone" in the case of the alleged events in an appropriate order of a private or public nature.

Parking places in the "Blue Zone" are indicated by a horizontal road marking and vertical road signs and signboards on which are indicated the terms for parking . They can be equipped with CCTV cameras.
